Birdwatching at AMAGUSA – MASHPI

The Mashpi Reserve is in the Bio Region of Equatorial Chocó. Mashpi is located at altitudes ranging from 550 meters to 1400 meters above sea level.

At this place there are several endemic species of Chocó and they can be found more easily than anywhere else in the region. This includes the Black Solitaire, Indigo Flowerpiercer, Pacific Tuftedcheek, Crimson Rumped Toucanet, Treehunter Uniform, Moss backed Tanager, Glistening green Tanager, Chocó Vireo and Orange breasted Fruiteater.

This activity includes; transportation, expert guide and all the necessary equipment; telescope, binoculars, pointer, field guide, breakfast to go and entry to reserve.
